Hosted by award-winning Israeli performer Dudu Fisher (Les Misérables), "Baltic Truth" exposes the tragic events of the first months of WW2 in the Baltic States and how almost the entire Jewish community of the occupied Baltic Nations was eliminated by face to face executions, one bullet at a time with assistance of local population, before the Final Solution, before Auschwitz, and before gas chambers. The film reflects the need for accuracy of Holocaust history, and does not allow the shifting of blame simply onto Nazis, and the exculpation of Latvian and Lithuanian perpetrators. Lithuania is the most egregious historical revisionist today. That government’s well-organized and systematic campaign to rewrite the history of Holocaust criminals seriously jeopardizes the international community's efforts to preserve the truth of this dark period in history and thereby undermines efforts to prevent future genocide around the world. This film reveals the truth about the collaboration with the Nazi regime in the Baltic States; how neighbor turned on neighbor without hesitation, prompting a massacre of great proportions. Baltic Truth exposes how some national heroes involved in Holocaust crimes are being celebrated by their fellow countrymen to this very day.

We stand at a critical juncture in history, where the echoes of tragedy resonate through the corridors of time. On October 7th, our world was shaken by unspeakable horror, leaving scars that may never fully heal. But amidst the darkness, there lies an opportunity to shed light on the resilience of the human spirit and ensure that the voices silenced by tragedy are forever heard.
In the wake of the darkest moment of Israel’s history, a team of Israeli archaeologists undertook an extraordinary mission. They were faced with the solemn task of identifying the charred remains—the ashes—of lives once filled with vitality, piecing together the fragments of lost stories and shattered dreams.
Our latest documentary endeavor "Ashes of Identity" draws a painful parallel to the atrocities of the Holocaust era, laying bare the chilling similarities between October 7th and the nightmarish specter of Auschwitz. In a bitter revelation, we underscore the significance of this moment— A groundbreaking moment in both the history of Israel and the post-Holocaust era, this marks the very first instance where archaeologists were entrusted with identifying Jewish victims, employing cutting-edge archaeological technologies and methodologies.
Unlike previous instances where forensic medical personnel typically undertook such grim tasks, the scale and severity of destruction by Hamas terrorists, whose goal was not only to kill but to wipe out Jewish existence in Israel, rendered traditional methods ineffective. The ZAKA service, renowned for its expertise in such matters, was unable to perform its duties in some cases due to the bodies being reduced to ashes beyond recognition leaving no DNA trail to follow. Consequently, archaeologists were brought in to navigate this unprecedented challenge.
"Ashes of Identity" digs deep into a distressing narrative, blending the emotional stories of archaeologists, first responders, survivors, and their loved ones as they confront tragedy head-on, grappling with the profound impact it leaves on their lives and the collective memory of the only Jewish homeland, Israel.
Ultimately, the film transcends storytelling, blossoming into a profound meditation on memory, identity, and the resilience of the Jewish spirit. It stands as a testament to the enduring fortitude of those tasked with preserving history and ensures that the voices silenced by tragedy continue to reverberate, casting light into the darkest moments of Israel’s history.
